About Me.

Dr. Erin Yosai is a licensed psychologist and nationally certified school psychologist with a passion for helping individuals and families better understand how their minds work—and how that understanding can guide meaningful personal and academic growth.

What Shapes My Work
• Listening to people’s stories. Years of working with children, families, and educators taught me that behind every challenge is a story that deserves to be understood.
• Teaching and training psychologists. As a professor and clinical supervisor, I’ve spent much of my career helping future psychologists learn how to think about complex human problems with curiosity, compassion, and evidence.
• Bridging the gap between research and real life. Psychology contains incredible insights about learning, behavior, and mental health — but much of that knowledge rarely reaches the parents and educators who need it most.
• A belief that understanding changes everything. When people begin to see their experiences in a new way, it can transform how they approach growth, relationships, and challenges.
• The power of stories. Research gives us data, but stories help us understand what those patterns actually look like in real life. AND research shows storytelling is one of the most powerful learning tools at our fingertips!
