Knowledge is Power
When we know better, we do better
Every psychologist views their work through a particular lens. Mine has been shaped by years of listening to families, students, and educators empathizing, problem-solving, and advocacy when learning and life gets tough for students. My beliefs and values:

-
We all have unique strengths and difficulties that impact our everyday physical, mental, and social emotional health.

-
Life is not black and white. Many of the struggles people experience begin to make sense when we look at the whole picture rather than a single label or moment in time.
-
In order to best understand & educate, treat, or parent our kids (it takes a village, after all!), you have to value diverse backgrounds and identities and how they impact how people experience life.
-
Our thoughts, emotions, and behavior are interconnected systems that influence mental health, learning, and relationships.

-
Understanding our own unique connections helps us move beyond labels and toward deeper insight, understanding, and growth.
-
Learning and practicing tiny tools rooted in positive psychology, resilience, and regulation together, we are making huge impacts our mental health.

• When people begin to understand themselves or the children in their lives more clearly, it often becomes the first step toward meaningful change.
